Frequently Asked Questions

Does the field have lighting?

Not at present, so please bear this in mind when booking.

We are happy for people to use the field when visibility is low – we recommend a strong torch. Please don’t use the lack of light as an excuse not to pick up after your dog(s).

How do I receive my entrance code?

Once you have created your booking, an automated confirmation email will be sent to your email address. If you haven’t received your entrance code within ten minutes, please ensure you have checked your junk / spam mail boxes – if you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us via Email Us or message us on Facebook.

How secure is the field?

On both our Trent fields, three sides of the field are fenced with 6ft LFX12-182-15 fencing,

The remaining side (trackside) is maintained by Network Rail – this fence-line is post and wire fencing, covered by a privacy cover. This is a temporary solution while we await Network Rail replacing the length of this fencing. On windy days, as much as we have tried to secure the privacy cover, it may flap in the wind – so please bear this in mind.
Network Rail have agreed to replace this fencing with 6ft chain-link fencing – we are anticipating that this will be completed Q4 2025.

The dimensions of the LFX-12-182-15 fencing is as follows:

Is there a path around the field?

There is not a path around Muddy Paws Fields – please be aware that appropriate footwear will be required (during the wetter months we live up to our name!)

Is there a car park?

Both Trent fields are equipped with a parking pad, inside their gate. We also have a small overflow car park opposite – if you’re planning a visit with multiple cars. Please limit cars to a maximum of 3 cars per booking.

Please remember to always keep your dog on its lead while in the overflow car park – this is to keep both your dog(s) safe and neighbouring animals.

Will you be present for our visit?

No representative of Muddy Paws Fields will be present during your visit, and you will have the entire 2.5 acres to yourself – although as we are located on a working farm – animals the neighbouring fields or barns could be present – so please, bare this in mind.
